We are seeking Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical tojoin our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team supporting the stand-up of the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) program at Swartz Barracks, Oakey, Queensland.
As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical; you will be responsible for maintenance and modification of the EC135 Mechanical systems and associated equipment. The work pattern is a day/evening shift rotation and a degree of flexibility with working hours and locations is required.
The role will require travel during the initial stages of employment. Time spent in Nowra, NSW to complete initial on the job training. Initial aircraft training in Brisbane area and Engine type training in Sydney area.
Aircraft flight-line handling and servicing duties.
Mechanical aircraft and component servicing.
Ensuring all maintenance tasks carried out as per the applicable Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and certified in the maintenance documentation.
Removal and installation of aircraft components, disassembly and reassembly of aircraft components,
Promoting a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with EH&S policies and procedures.
Preparation and use of aircraft support equipment and inspection, maintenance, servicing, repair and
Fault diagnosis of components and systems operating in both the line maintenance and base maintenance environments.
Experience/Qualifications
Certificate IV Aeroskills (Mechanical)
Ability to successfully interact with co-workers, maintaining productive working relationships to meet team, business unit, and organisational goals
Current B1.3 MAML or the ability to obtain (Desirable)
Certificate IV Aeroskills (Structures)
Previous experience working on Rotary Wing Aircraft (Desirable)
H135 T3H Aircraft Type course (Desirable)
Safran Arrius B2 line 1 and 2 maintenance training (Desirable)
Composite repair training IAW DASR 145.A.30(f) AMC1. Composite Specialist Course (216309) or equivalent Adhesive Bonding Techniques (112570) (Desirable)
You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance (Negative Vetting 1) sponsored by BDA. Therefore, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for whole of life i.e. birth to present time. More information on the security clearance vetting process is available on the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) website.
