Suva, Fiji is its Pacific Hub. The Finance Officer, as a key member of the Pacific Finance Team, will be responsible for providing financial accounting and operational support. This includes managing payments for suppliers and partners, month end reports, and ensuring the accurate recording of financial transactions. The role will focus at least 50 on operations in PNG, with the remaining time allocated to Fiji and Solomon Islands. Do you have what it takes to be successful in this role? Accountabilities Payments and Journals Processing stylemargin:bottom:0.0cm;margin:top:0.0px: : Maintain accurate records of expenditures in line with the payment ledger and SAP Chart of Accounts. : Review and verify all required supporting documents for employee, supplier, and partner payments, including payment requisitions, invoices, payment requests, goods received notes, and budget availability within respective projects. : Ensure accuracy of payment documents, correct expenditure booking lines, and that all approvals are obtained in accordance with the current Delegation of Authority (DOA). : Record all expenditures in SAP for both Fiji and PNG, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate. : Prepare and book accruals, prepayments, payables, and receivables with appropriate subsidiary ledgers and supporting documentation. : Create and update vendors in SAP for ATS using T:Codes MK01 and MK02, and ensure accurate expenditure bookings. : Perform bank payments in SAP and clear open items as required. : Ensure all expenditures are booked within the correct month and accounting period prior to period closing. Intercompany Recharge and Open Item Accounts Management stylemargin:bottom:0.0cm;margin:top:0.0px: : Prepare adjustment journals for intercompany transactions. : Process intercompany recharges from the Regional Hub and other Country Offices. : Reconcile and record intercompany recharges upon receipt. : Maintain up:to:date records of intercompany recharge forms and supporting documents. : Clear bank sub:account open items on a fortnightly basis. : Reconcile and clear travel, prepaid, deposit, and other open item management (OIM) accounts promptly after transaction completion. Partner Payments and Liquidations stylemargin:bottom:0.0cm;margin:top:0.0px: : Clear partner advances in the system in a timely manner. : Ensure timely submission of partner acquittals with accurate supporting documentation.
