We are looking for someone on a 6-month fixed term contract, who loves working with the newest technologies and is on top of what's next. Do you have a keen eye for performance, stability, and cloud portability? Are you always seeking the highest quality in code? You need to get a kick out of the following things to excel in this role; happy clients, productive meetings, and on-time project delivery. Our ideal candidate will be obsessed over great work, love working with a variety of people, be self-motivated, passionate, and proactive, and can take constructive criticism on board and find solutions to problems.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain high-quality frontend code using modern web technologies and frameworks
Collaborate with designers to translate design concepts into functional and visually appealing user interfaces
Optimize application performance and scalability for a variety of devices and screen sizes
Deliver accessible solutions up to WCAG standards
Participate in code reviews and contribute to our development process to ensure code quality and maintainability
Keep up to date with the latest trends and best practices in frontend development, and be able to share your knowledge with the team
Resolve technical questions and issues for team and client
Identify and assist in the management of continuous improvement initiatives including documenting best practices and seeing out opportunities to improve existing processes
Work closely with our project delivery team and designers to ensure the delivery of quality projects in a timely manner and adhering to allocated budgets
Provide support to assist in the resolution of code-related incidents.
Work with the Director of Technology and the wider Technology team to improve processes, productivity, and efficiency
Ad hoc duties where required

Qualifications & Experience
BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent 5+ years of work experience
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
Proficient in writing testable code using Jest or similar frameworks
Proficiency in HTML and CSS frameworks like Tailwind or similar
Experience working with microservice architectures
Experience in Material or Bootstrap or similar
Experience in Tailwind or similar
Experience using Azure DevOps, JIRA or a similar tool in an Agile-Scrum framework
Experience in working in Agile and Scrum teams
Experience developing for CMS and Commerce systems enterprise level
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions
Proficient understanding of accessibility tools and delivering WCAG accessible solutions
