Requisition ID: 274719  Relocation Authorized: National - Camp  Telework Type: Full-Time Office/Project  Work Location: Karratha WA  Bechtel Energy is seeking a Craft Supervisor – Heavy Haul, with proven capabilities to join Pluto Train 2 project in Karratha, WA.  This is a 3:1 roster. Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy. As Craft Supervisor – Heavy Haul, you will ensure transporting activities are correctly planned and executed, including installation of ro-ro ramps to barges, off-loading modules from barges and staging SPMTS to receive loads from self-loading ships conveyances. You will provide technical guidance and support to the civil superintendents to assure heavy haul roads and routes are sufficient for transportation of modules weighing up to 5000 tonnes. Responsibilities will include: Coordinate with other superintendents and Subcontractors to assure access is established for road grades and turning radiuses of transport vehicles. Identify amount of assistance required from Engineering for review of Heavy Haul Subcontractor detailed design of complex staging beams and frames; preparing conceptual designs for the items and engaging Engineering in detailed design efforts. Support Heavy Haul Subcontractor developing work packaging and work face plans. Identifies requirements for soil improvements and special foundations for major heavy haul operations, liaising with Geotechnical Engineering as required in the design of load-spreading details, ground improvements or special foundations. Identify any holds required to the installation sequence of steelwork or foundations to facilitate transport or lifting operations. Other duties as designated. Strong supervision experience including the ability to lead and manage change is desirable. Displays effective communications skills crucial to motivating team members and presenting plans in a clear and concise manner. Strong experience of liaising with and coordinating contractors and vendors. Strong technical knowledge of LNG facility installations. Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience. Additional Information: This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).
