Job Purpose Alpha Technologies Ltd., an EnerSys company, has an opportunity for an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) and Facilities Manager to join our group in our Burnaby location. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS), and Facilities Manager is responsible for implementing EHS management systems, maintaining facilities, and ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, and international standards, such as ISO 14001 and ISO 9001. This role emphasizes safety leadership, sustainability, and operational efficiency within a manufacturing and industrial technology environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant workplace for employees, contractors, and visitors. : Promote a proactive and engaged safety culture through leadership, training, and effective communication. : Lead and support Behavior:Based Safety (BBS) and EOS:aligned EHS programs to foster continuous improvement in workplace safety. : Ensure compliance with all local, provincial, and federal occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations. : Serve as the primary liaison for regulatory audits, including WorkSafe BC, Environment Canada, and certification bodies, addressing non:conformities promptly. : Maintain and report all required documentation and records to regulatory agencies. : Co:chair the JOSH and YOSHI committees and oversee culture:building initiatives. : Establish and manage emergency response plans, including first aid programs, evacuation procedures, and business continuity management protocols. : Ensure adequate first aid resources and training are available across all shifts. : Oversee maintenance and operations of the site's facilities, including manufacturing, laboratory, and office spaces. : Identify opportunities for energy efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainable practices to align with environmental goals. :
