Job Purpose Reporting to the Power Systems Engineering Manager, the Senior Systems Engineer contributes as a senior member of the Power Systems Engineering team capable of carrying out needed engineering initiatives, with emphasis on learning about product development, engineering processes, product design, Envision Economy and sustaining engineering. A good systems engineer is able to draw from a broad knowledge base and personal experience to take a "holistic" and "concurrent:engineering" approach to product system design. A senior systems engineer addresses all stakeholder requirements early in the design and is able to anticipate and plan for expected challenges throughout the process. The successful candidate has proven experience and minimum required supervision when interfacing customers, sales and marketing, manufacturing, supply chain, quality department and field installation, technical support and problem resolution. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Conceptualize and design innovative power systems based on Switch Mode Power supplies and Energy Storage Systems (ESS).
