Heres how a(n)Engineer in Trainingfor our Edmonton Industrial Managementoffice contributes to our team: Responsibilities :Provides technical support for the design of construction engineering solutionsand procedures. :Provides construction engineer support and constructability analysis for theimplementation and removal of construction systems. :Provide construction engineering support on test blind and test manifold designs,pneumatic test procedures (IND). :Contributes to the internal engineering reference material databases andlibraries. :Stays current with industry practices, codes, and standards. :Works directly with project teams to produce engineering deliverables. :Implements engineering technology and application software for constructionengineering applications. :Ensure all documents are maintained and stored according to the constructionengineering document control procedures. :Develops and maintains strong stakeholder relationships. :Values and models the solution provider and profitability culture. :Other duties as required. Qualifications : Completion of a 4:year accredited university degree in Civil, Structural, or a related engineering discipline; Engineer:in:Training (EIT) designation is required. : Foundational knowledge of construction, including specifications, drawings, codes, standards, and regulations relevant to PCL's operational regions. : General awareness of materials and methods such as steel, concrete, wood, scaffolding, shoring, formwork, fall protection, cranes, geotechnical considerations, pneumatic testing, and single isolation (IND). : Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills; capable of multitasking and prioritizing workload effectively. : Proficient in analytical thinking and structural design; effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. : Skilled in drafting, model viewing, and BIM platforms; familiar with in:house or third:party construction engineering software. : Able to work both independently and collaboratively in team environments. : Understands constructability challenges and engineering concerns; capable of monitoring project resources and staffing in collaboration with operations. : Familiar with building construction processes and components across project phases; supports departmental planning and initiatives. : Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; eager and comfortable with self:directed learning and professional growth.
