The Opportunity Reporting to the Clinical Manager, Community Mental Health and Addictions, the Dietitian will be a key member of the interdisciplinary team, participating in assessments, providing dietetic services to patients and families and consulting with other health professionals, both internal and external to the IWK. The Dietitian must have a specialized knowledge and experience level working with youth presenting with eating disorders (in inpatient and outpatient settings) and be able to assess and manage the risk associated with eating disorders. The Dietitian must have an interest in helping these youth through the stabilization phase of their illness and be familiar with treatment interventions including: Emotion Focused Therapy, Family Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. In collaboration with the other members of the team, the Dietitian will also be responsible to provide consultation and support to in:patient, day treatment and CMHA services. Further, the Dietitian will be expected to help support and participate in structured training environments where clinical trainees are mentored and supervised.
