Beacon Building Products Canada, one of the largest distributors of residential and non:residential roofing and complementary building products in North America, is looking for talented and enthusiastic sales professionals who enjoy building relationships, promoting great products and providing world:class service at our branch in Laval, QC.
In this role, you will sell residential and commercial roofing materials to contractor customers and strategically build new relationships with potential industry customers.

What will my daily life look like?
:Meet or exceed sales and margin targets for the assigned territory.
:Use the available reports to help you manage a sales territory.
:Build strong relationships with customers by maintaining sales contacts as required by the position, including face:to:face meetings and site visits.
:Develop new business opportunities through prospecting calls.
:Develop and execute a comprehensive monthly and annual sales plan for their territory to service and expand our business with our existing customers as well as our new customers.
:Coordinate closely with our inside sales support team and vendors to plan and execute the promotion of products and services to our customers.
:Organize sales activities to maximize face:to:face sales time with the customer.
:Observe and benchmark other sales reps who are exceptional in all aspects of the sales process to utilize the skills needed in your sales territory.
:Demonstrate strong sales acumen and professionalism to positively impact all prospects and customers.
:Maintain Beacons social, ethical and organizational standards. Conduct business activity at all times in a manner consistent with the corporate culture of the Company.
:Drive sales growth through consistent daily effort.
:All other related tasks.
What are the requirements?
:Demonstrated record year:over:year sales growth.
:Strong ability to develop new business opportunities while maintaining existing sales.
:Must have excellent customer service skills and attitude.
:DEC or AEC in sales administration (an asset).
:Experience in residential or commercial sales, an asset, but not required.
:Experience in the construction materials distribution industry (an asset)
:Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Internet, Word and Excel.
:Ability to learn and use Salesforce.
:Knowledge of Mincron (an asset) or ability to learn our inventory management system.
:Ability to learn product lines.
:Ability to create a good first impression, command attention and respect, and display an air of confidence.
:Be a self:starter able to take action to achieve goals.
:Take a sincere interest in what the client or prospect really needs to improve their business.
:Ability to adapt to competitive sales situations with little supervision and strong negotiation skills.
:Sales driven (interested, enthusiastic and dedicated to the sales function).
:Consistently make the kind of effort necessary to achieve sales goals.
:Maintain a good driving record and hold a valid drivers license
:Willingness to develop new and existing skills through educational programs with both company:provided and supplier:supported training.
