Responsibilities: :Directly apply and develop knowledge in mechanical design :Perform finite element analysis on various furnace components and systems, including thermal analysis of cooling system elements; :Co:ordinate designs with a multi:disciplinary team including structural, mechanical, electrical, process, and instrumentation and controls. :Contribute to the design and improvement of various types of mechanical equipment and technologies, including copper coolers, electrode columns and furnace sealing equipment; :Perform calculations for a variety of mechanical systems including machinery components, hydraulic systems, and cooling water systems; :Become familiar in reviewing fabrication and construction drawings; and :Improve technical communica
