Req ID:26677 Vacancy Type: Temporary Number of Positions:1 Closing Date: Job Summary Reporting to the Project Manager, IT, Architecture, Projects and Cybersecurity, this role is accountable for the successful delivery of technology solutions through their leadership and oversight of various project initiatives. The IT Project Leader will coordinate internal, cross:departmental resources and collaborate with external vendors to execute technology initiatives in partnership with business stakeholders. Their leadership will ensure that projects achieve their desired business outcomes and are consistently delivered on time and within budget. The role is also responsible for overseeing technology related procurements, managing stakeholder relationships, quality assurance, and change management through the application of industry standard project management principles. This position will be required to work in a hybrid work arrangement. You will work in our office in Mississauga, ON a minimum of 3 days per week for an undetermined period. Duties and Responsibilities :Accountable for managing the full project lifecycle for overseeing the implementation of multiple concurrent technology related projects (including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing) in adherence with recognized industry standard project management principles. :Develops and maintains project charters, project plans and schedules, resource plans, work packages, stakeholder registers, communication plans, risk and issue logs, change management plans, project status reports and other artifacts required for the successful delivery of technology related projects. :Collaborates and communicates regularly with senior management, executive sponsors, business stakeholders, internal resources, and outside vendors to coordinate the delivery of project deliverables while ensuring all parties remain engaged and proactively informed throughout the course of the project. :Oversees the procurement of complex technology solutions (including hardware, software, and professional services) in accordance with City's Procurement Policy. Composes statements of work, requirements documents, technical specifications and other artifacts required to support a competitive procurement process. Leads the evaluation and scoring of bid proposals and participates in the negotiation of agreements with vendors. :Manages budgets related to technology projects by controlling costs, forecasting project expenditures, reviewing vendor invoices and authorizing payments in accordance with the applicable contract. :Monitors the performance of vendors and suppliers to ensure they are fulfilling all contractual obligations and providing high quality services and deliverables. Oversees the change request process to negotiate and authorize any required contract amendments to supplier agreements for project deliverables as appropriate. :Manages, directs, and leads cross:functional project teams. Assigns work packages and provides operational guidance, coaching and mentoring to project resources. :Facilitate regular project team meetings, including meeting minutes, decisions and action items. :Works with internal business clients to understand their business problems and translates that knowledge into possible technical solutions and process improvements which are presented back to the client for consideration. Remains up to date on current and emerging industry trends to provide the best possible advice and act as a trusted advisor to business clients. :Engages with stakeholders to gather business, functional and technical requirements related to technology projects, work requests, business cases, or statements of work using accepted methodologies, practices and tools. :Documents and understands existing business process and performs "as:is" and "to:be" gap analysis to facilitate adoption and manage change as part of new system implem
