The successful candidate must be eligible for a Full:time Clinical Academic appointment at the rank of Full Professor at the University of Toronto. The candidate will have an academic position description of Clinician Scientist (CS). The expected start date of the position is October 1, 2025, or shortly thereafter. The successful candidate will hold an MD degree (or equivalent) and have, or be eligible for, certification in Endocrinology and Metabolism by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). The successful candidate will support outpatient demands and inpatient consultations and will participate in the educational programs in Endocrinology and Metabolism at St. Michael's Hospital and the University of Toronto. They will be expected to take a clinical and research leadership role in the metabolic bone disease program within the Division and therefore must have a proven record of clinical and research excellence in metabolic bone disease, including rare bone diseases, atypical femur fractures and osteoporosis. This will be evidenced by publications in leading journals, book chapters, meeting presentations, journal editorship, and international awards and leadership positions. The successful candidate will report to the Head, Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at St. Michael's Hospital. The Division is composed of 13 full time academic endocrinologists, and has an international reputation in clinical and translational research, education and quality improvement. All divisional members work from St. Michael's Hospital, 30 Bond St., Toronto as well as at the Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology at 61 Queen St. East, Toronto, Ontario. Estimated remuneration will be commensurate with academic rank, qualifications and experience, and is estimated to be in the range of 292,341 to 350,000 per annum based on an Alternate Funding Plan, fee for service billings and support from a clinical scholarship payable through the SMPA Admin Agent Inc.
