POSITION SUMMARY: This role involves supporting plumbing and mechanical crews with hands-on tasks at residential and commercial job sites. Responsibilities include moving materials, assisting with installations, digging and backfilling trenches, site cleanup, and using hand and power tools under supervision. This position requires a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. A focus on safety, reliability, and attention to detail is essential to ensure smooth day-to-day operations on site. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: - Move plumbing tools, fittings, and materials to job sites and work areas - Assist licensed plumbers with installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks - Excavate and backfill trenches for piping systems manually - Support the setup and removal of scaffolding, ladders, and barriers for safe access - Use hand tools and power tools to cut, carry, or hold piping and fixtures as needed - Clean and prepare job sites, removing waste and organizing equipment - Mix and apply concrete for plumbing bases or trench support when required - Follow safety procedures, including wearing PPE and handling materials safely - Assist with measuring, cutting, and fitting pipes under supervision - Perform general clean-up and manual tasks as directed by the site supervisor
