Business Address: 150 Toro Rd., North York, ON, M3J 2A9 Work Location: Same as above Type of Employment: Full time - Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job duties: Advise business unit leaders, managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs and collective agreements. Advise and assist other departmental managers on interpretation and administration of personnel policies and programs. Establish and implement policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with legislation such as the Pay Equity Act. Train, direct and motivate staff. Working with hiring managers leads the full cycle recruitment process, including developing job descriptions and postings, conducting interviews, etc., through to the offer, onboarding and orientation stages, track, and report monthly. Be available and act as the frontline to answer employee HR-related questions in a timely manner; promote positive employee relations. Address employee relations issues, including conducting investigations, issuing corrective actions, and escalating as needed. Assign, co-ordinate and review projects and programs. Mediate labor disputes and grievances. Oversee the classification and rating of occupations. Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs. Manage training and development strategies. Oversee the analysis of employee data and information. Develop, implement and evaluate human resources and labour relations strategies including policies, programs and procedures to address an organization's human resource requirements. Research employee benefits and health and safety practices and recommend changes. Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including maintaining various human resources records and data; preparing accurate and detailed reports on a routine basis; auditing training and compliance records. Assist Human Resources Director with various projects such as implementation of HR department goals, objectives, various policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
