Job Description

· Make adjustments to process variables · Set up and adjust processing machine · Maintain shift log of production · Perform corrective machine adjustments, including adjustments to the feather picker to ensure effective feather removal without damaging carcasses · Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality · Record production information · Clean machines and immediate work areas, including thorough cleaning of the feather picker to ensure sanitary operation · Identify, control, and prevent hazards at all stages of the food production process, including monitoring for safety risks around rotating equipment like the feather picker · Inform the manager of mechanical malfunctions or product irregularities · Assist with maintenance issues and limit downtime, particularly resolving issues with feather picker performance or rubber finger wear · Check products to ensure conformance to company standards and clear machine blockages as required · Record production information such as quantity, weight, size, date, and type of products packaged · Perform corrective machine adjustments, clean machines and immediate work areas · Other assigned duties Salary: $26.40 hourly, 40 - 45 Hours per week Benefits: Disability insurance, Dental insurance, Pension plan, Extended medical insurance, Prescription drugs, Medical equipment and Discount on chicken.
