Under the general direction of the Associate Chair, Continuing Professional Development, the incumbent provides support to the M.Eng program in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Science in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering. The position plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing the recruitment and admissions strategies for this program. Your responsibilities will include: :Advising students on academic and/or financial matters by providing options and consequences incorporating personal circumstances impacting academic success and an understanding of an individuals background :Advising on the appropriateness, precedents and process for petitions and appeals, and suggesting alternative course of action as necessary :Providing detailed information on program and/or course eligibility requirements, procedures, policies and deadlines :Analyzing statistical information to inform enrollment projections and planning :Producing promotional and outreach materials :Reviewing and assessing admissions applications :Delivering student recruitment presentations Essential Qualifications: :Bachelors Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience :Minimum four years of related experience advising students within a post secondary environment :Experience with graduate student advising in an academic environment :Exceptional presentation and public speaking experience is required :Excellent computer proficiency, including intermediate skills with Microsoft Office (e.g. MS Word, Excel and Access). Excellent demonstrated knowledge of ROSI or similar student information system :Excellent communication (oral and written skills) :Excellent customer / client service skills, with proven ability to interact effectively with students and the public :Ability to work independently with initiative, tact and good judgement :Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret and apply guidelines :Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines and work with interruptions Assets (Nonessential): :Familiarity with the Universitys policies and procedures, particularly those pertaining to the School of Graduate Studies :Knowledge and experience in student recruitment :General knowledge of immigration and visa requirements, as well as knowledge of Universities internationally To be successful in this role you will be: :Diligent :Motivated self:learner :Multi:tasker :Problem solver :Resourceful :Team player Note: This is a term p
