Job Description
Our client, a leading supplier of crop input products for row crop and horticulture producers, is searching for a Row Crop Sales Agronomist. The Row Crop Sales Agronomist will complement and build on the existing row crop business in Ontario by establishing business relationships with customers and identify new opportunities. RESPONSIBILITIES:Build on the organizations existing sales programEstablish a sound business relationship with customersMaintain and identify new sales opportunities with row crop growersDevelopment of individual grower crop plans, providing innovation and agronomic solutions maximize grower returnsCoordinate customer requests and sales with operations staff to ensure requirements are metConduct in-field scouting of weeds, insects & diseasesWork with industry partners to run field-scale trials for new products & seedReview and oversee the collection of Customer ReceivablesWillingness to learn and work with a wide variety row crop processor’s DESIRED PROFILE:A post secondary education, diploma, or degree in Agriculture/MarketingAgricultural experience, particularly in the row crop fieldAgronomic sales experience (3 years preferred)Certified Crop Advisor designation would be considered an assetWillingness to work flexible hours including evening & weekends as requiredAbility to work in cross-functional teams across the Lakeside business structureExcellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skillsComprehensive understanding of Microsoft softwarePlan, present, and organize customer meeting and plot demonstration daysValid G Driver’s license & willingness to provide driver’s abstractAbility to lift & carry up to 60lbs as needed Interested in this Opportunity?
