It's an exciting time to join the team at Hydro One You will be a member of the group, which is responsible for: : Managing the engineering deliverables for the design of new and refurbished power substations and power transmission lines. : Track, monitor and report design progress, analyse key performance indicators of the Engineering Services Division. Your job duties may include: : Assisting Project Engineers to co:ordinate different design disciplines to produce design for replacing/upgrading power equipment and their protection and control systems in power stations : Monitor and track progress of design to make sure projects are designed within the given budget and meeting project schedules. This job will provide you with the following professional development: : General knowledge of designing a power substation and power transmission lines : Project management (planning, scheduling, control and reporting) : Project performance analysis : Communication and presentation skills : Negotiation skills Job Requirements: : Discipline:Engineering (Electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, industrial etc) : Academic Level:Completed at least year 3 : Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, Access and MS Project. Able to set up macros in these desktop applications, and perform scenario analysis using Excel : Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) : Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities Additional Job Conditions: : Occasional travel to Hydro One power substations under supervision of Hydro One qualified staff : Ontario Drivers License Hydro One requires that all students applying for student opportunities be enrolled in post:secondary level studies and be returning to full:time studies upon the completion of their work term.
