ABOUT THE ROLE TransAlta is seeking a 1st Class Power Engineer to join our team as a Chief Engineer/Plant Manager, based in Ottawa, Ontario. Reporting to the Director, East Gas Operations, this role is responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the Ottawa Facility in accordance with TSSA regulations. The Chief Engineer/Plant Manager will ensure all work performed complies with governing practices, codes, and regulations. This position will play a critical role in resolving day:to:day technical issues and identifying plant optimization opportunities while focusing on continual improvement of heat rate. This is a full:time salaried, safety:sensitive position. Pre:employment testing will be required as a condition of employment.
