Position Info: · Position: Early Childhood Educator · Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent · Wage: $22.50~$24.00/hour (depending on experience) · Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week · Number of Positions: 2 · Work Location: A121-2099 Lougheed Hwy, Port Coquitlam, BC V3B 1A8 Benefits: · 4% vacation pay Job Duties: · Design and provide childcare programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children · Plan activities by reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to local points of interest · Create and maintain healthy and safe environment for protecting children · Evaluate the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members · Detect the signs of potential learning or behavioral problems of children, and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisor · Teach children to eat properly, dress, and appropriate toilet habits · Build collaborative relationships with employees and community service providers working with children · Supervise and suggest activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants Job requirements: · Experience: Experience as an Early Childhood Educator is an asset. · Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required. · Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E.
