In accordance with the Collective Agreement, this posting is being sent as an email notification to all applicants in the Department's Applicant Pool: all Sessional Lecturers who are teaching for the Department during the current academic year or who have taught for the Department since September 1, 2005, and all persons who have submitted an application within the past twenty:four months. Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with 14:12. Hours Duties Qualifications MUZA02H3F Introduction to Music and Health This course introduces the histories, contexts, and theories of music in relation to health and wellness. Students will develop understandings of how music is used for therapeutic and non:therapeutic purposes. LEC 01 In:person FR 10:12 September 1 : December 31, 2025 120 Up to 162 All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments and final portfolios; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours. A graduate degree (ABD accepted) in music and health, community music, music therapy, or a related field required. Experience working as a community music practitioner or arts educator is highly desirable, as is experience with music making and music facilitation related to social wellness.
