Position: Butcher- wholesale Types: Full-time, Permanent Wage: CAD$23.00/hour Working Hours: 30- 40 hours/week Benefits: 4% of vacation pay Job Duties: · Cut, trim, bone poultry and meat to prepare standard/customised cuts; · Prepare meat for special displays and/or delivery; · Wrap and/or package fresh, frozen, or prepared meats; · Manage inventory, keep records of sales and determine amount, product line and freshness of products · Ensure poultry and meats are clean and stored in safe conditions; · Follow HACCP, CFIA and food safety standards and maintain workplace in sanitary conditions; · May supervise or train other butchers/meat cutters. Job requirements: · Completion of secondary school; · 1-2 years of on-the-job training.
