Job Summary Statement: The Warehouse Supervisor directs and oversees the functions of warehouse personnel and assists in both the administrative and operational responsibilities as and when required. This position also requires the individual to work in a dynamic environment and exercise prompt decision-making and problem solving abilities. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: · Scheduling and supervising the activities and the functions of the warehouse staff · Assigning daily tasks and evaluating the work of the subordinates. · Ensuring the proper and timely completion of all warehouse activities. · Responsible to ensure company safety policies are adhered to and safe work habits are utilized by all department personnel and visitors. Wears personal protective equipment as required at all times. Ensuring the safety of all workers in the warehouse as per Occupational Health & Safety Act. · Informs Warehouse Manager and Transportation team when a truck is late (after 1 hour loading window), delayed or does not show up. · Inspecting and overseeing the inventory records of the warehouse for accuracy, in combination with keeping track of all inbound and outbound supplies. · Regularly inspects and ensures the maintenance and safety of all warehouse equipment and machinery. · Makes inventory and evaluation reports pertaining to the warehouse. · Participates in quality planning/improvement activities re: stocking of racks · Cross trained to cover off other warehouse responsibilities as required (ex. In case of absence or coverage required Shipper, picker, receiver, warehouse supervisor etc.) · Training new staff assigned to your shift · Performs other duties as required within his abilities as requested by management. · Wears personal protective equipment as required at all times. · Other duties as assigned
