What role will you play as a member of the Colgate’s Team for this position? The candidate is a domain expert and responsible for design, development and implementation of various applications in the area of large scale worldwide Colgate e-Commerce Operation and provides support. The person will be required to collaborate with business teams / functional teams and IT counterparts for daily support incidents and project activities in different business areas across all geographies. The person should have the ability to understand the requirements related to business problems and transform that into a solution design. Main Responsibilities: Understand and apply information technology standards to daily support and project implementation activities Handle and/or perform the design, build and testing of business applications and its architecture in line with agreed time frames, business requirements and global standards Develop and modify user-facing features for web and mobile eCommerce applications Build reusable code and libraries for future use Support ongoing development for existing projects/applications Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability Improve test coverage of existing code bases Collaborate with project collaborators to translate business requirements into digital solutions Work closely with UX and design resources to ensure technical feasibility of designs while maintaining user-centric focus Work within a product team to prioritize and implement new application features, while simultaneously maintaining the quality of existing features and functionality Assist the product manager in managing the product backlog, assigning points to backlog items to correctly establish velocity, and establishing sprint goals You are an expert, Full Stack Developer - Understand and apply information technology standards to daily support and project implementation activities Apply conceptual knowledge of business processes and technology to solve highly sophisticated business processes and procedural problems Develop and modify user-facing features for web and mobile eCommerce applications Build reusable code and libraries for future use Work closely with UX and design resources to ensure the technical feasibility of designs while maintaining user-centric focus Lead and/or perform the design, build and testing of business applications and its architecture in line with agreed time frames, business requirements and global standards Lead application rollouts, system upgrades, apply user experience techniques Maintain production systems reliability through correct utilization of GIT standard support and governance processes Support day to day business requirements according to global SLA Deliver solutions to tackle business requirements considering priorities and resources availability You connect the dots - Ensure the proper use of information technology project management methodology to comply of information technology governance practices Ensure proper documentation of processes, knowledge acquisitions and transfers Review program codes and suggest correction in case of any errors Conduct performance tuning to improve system performance over multiple business processes You are a collaborator - Collaborate with business and functional teams, develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project Work closely with internal team and external partners to ensure new developments align with roadmap and integrate seamlessly with other platform components You are an innovator - Stay updated with the latest technological advancement. Adapt to these changes by self-training and research work Identify and explore new opportunities to bring to bear new technologies to enhance the Platform What you’ll need…(Required) Over all 5+ years of IT experience and min 5 years as Full Stack Developer Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or similar degree Proficient understanding of web markup HTML5, CSS3 Client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery Cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them Experience developing front end web applications using JavaScript Frameworks like Vue/Nuxt, React/Next or Angular Familiarity with Node.js and server frameworks such as Express or Sails GraphQL/Apollo & REST API development SQL/NoSQL database modeling and administration Cloud computing (GCP, AWS, Azure) Solid understanding of GIT source code control and branching methodologies, debugging, performance monitoring, benchmarking, logging, and testing tools Good experience with test driven development methodologies Strong written and verbal communication and collaborative skills, and the ability to express sophisticated technical concepts in business terms and business needs into technical specifications What you’ll need…(Preferred) Knowledge or experience on eCommerce frameworks such as Magento and Shopify Google Cloud Platform services Containerized development (Docker, Kubernetes) Serverless's functions Cyber security standard methodologies Working on Agile development teams Using user centric design and applying User Experience concepts Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager is a plus Browser rendering behavior and performance JS automated testing tools and frameworks Proficiency with Git version control Experience with backend/API development Interest in DevOps principles Familiarity with data privacy concepts (GDPR, PCI, HIPAA), cyber security, cookie policy, & accessibility standards Our Commitment to Sustainability With the Colgate brand in more homes than any other, we are presented with great opportunities and new challenges as we work to integrate sustainability into all aspects of our business and create positive social impact.
