Project Overview: Bechtel is seeking to expand its decades long relationship with Reliance by providing Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services and Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Services for offsites and utilities (OSBL) for a multi:billion:dollar upgrade / expansion of existing petrochemical facilities in India. Reliance plans to augment its existing petrochemical facilities in Dahej, Gujarat, and Nagothane, Maharashtra, to expand its PVC capacity. The PMC Services will be led out of India with personnel deployed in Mumbai region, the project sites in India, as well as several key contractor locations across India. The EPCM Services for OSBL will be led out of Bechtel's India offices. The positions on the project will start as assignment in Navi Mumbai, Dahej or Nagothane. Job Summary: Responsible for the organization and activities relating to construction engineering, subcontracts, and engineering liaison to the design functional group. Interprets design drawings and specifications. Supervises field verification of materials. Provides technical direction to contractors in construction engineering and design functions relating to welding field engineering in an area of the project. Major Responsibilities: : Aid the development of the construction engineering organization for approval by the Site Manager (or appropriate level of Project Management) and preparation of employee requisitions. : Coordinates with engineering on constructability and design issues and monitors the interfacing between the construction automation plan and the project controls program at the jobsite. : Establishes a Design/Field Engineering working relationship and lines of communication with the Project Field Engineer/Area Field Engineer including agreement on engineering deliverables. : Responsible for quantity take:off, control, reporting and forecasting, and ensures the implementation of project environmental control plan(s) as required. : Aid as required the design of temporary construction facilities, preparation of cost estimates for construction activities and coordin
