**DESCRIPTION** **Job Summary:** Creates and maintains specifications (drawings and models) of Cummins products per company, industry, national, and international standards, while positively impacting the organization's performance. **Key Responsibilities:** + Ensure model and drawing quality in accordance with company and industry standards. + Create and maintain product specifications utilizing Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). + Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) data management tools for configuration control and security. + Apply company, industry, national, and international standards in product design. + Process internal engineering work requests. + Engage with required functional areas as needed. + Participate in the maintenance of standards and practices that ensure quality. + Conduct and contribute to Drawing Quality Reviews. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **Competencies:** + **Mechanical Design Modeling and Analysis**– Create CAD models in accordance with Cummins' standards for system design concepts and system-level analyses (e.g., Dimensional Variation Analysis, Finite Element Analysis). + **Mechanical Design of Mechanical Systems** – Apply knowledge of mechanical systems to create innovative, sound design concepts that meet Cummins and customer expectations. + **Mechanical Design Specification** – Develop complete specifications, including solid models, configured engineering bills of materials, and detailed drawings.
