The team focus on developing sales strategies and plans to meet the business requirements.   To be considered for this role you must be based in the North West with access to our Electrical Head Office in Preston on a regular basis, as well as travelling to visit customer sites as and when the business requires.  What will you be doing?  As a Senior Business Development Manager for the BES Electrical sales team, you will be developing and managing the electrical sales pipeline. You will focus on growing long term profitable business by monitoring and researching the market to identify potential new accountsthat fit in with our business strategy and goals. You will: Lead and contribute to the winning of new accounts; including making presentations, engaging in negotiations, ensuring follow-up and production of necessary documentation Visit customer sites to present our services and survey their requirements Setting up new accounts by creating accurate records and required documents and informing all parties of agreed terms of business and service standards Manage the overall sales pipeline to achieve sales targets Contribute to the wider development of effective business strategies, priorities and market propositions, drawing on knowledge, interpretation of local markets and competitors Support and advise Account Managers with the identifying and prioritising new business opportunities with existing Accounts Contribute to the development of marketing strategies and initiatives to raise awareness and generate leads and new business opportunities Comply with the required standards of sales excellence and best practice, operating effectiveness and efficiency, in line with all legal and regulatory requirements As part of our team, you will get:  A salary up to £50,000, depending on experience (OTE from £57,000) £5,500 annual car cash allowance  Opportunity to earn uncapped commission with the sales incentive plan Up to 10% pension contribution 2 x life cover Enhanced maternity / adoption leave Annual salary review  25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidaysAn additional day’s holiday for your birthday every year Access to our buy and sell holiday scheme Opportunity for flexible working Electric Vehicle salary sacrifice scheme  Discounts and savings via our employee benefits portal Health and wellbeing support via our Employee Assistance Programme Company wide volunteering scheme Fundraising support for your chosen charity To be join our team, you will need:   Offer extensive experience in technical B2B sales with a proven track record of securing contracts in excess of £1m Knowledge of the Electrical or Facilities Management industry required Possess highly effective sales, communication and presentation skills Demonstrate experience in the management of bids, tenders, contract negotiations and opportunity pipelines Excel in relationship building, influencing and negotiating, owing to your strong communication and interpersonal skills Be highly methodical, having the ability to multi-task and prioritise while paying close attention to meeting targets Be a role model for less experienced colleagues, offering support and expertise Have excellent attention to detail as you will be working with detailed proposalsand CRM systems (experience using MS Dynamics would also be an advantage) Be reliable; There’s something about being dependable that we all think matters We want you to be you  Our focus on diversity, equality and inclusion is here to stay.    Our team is made up of some of the most skilled and talented people and that’s what matters to us.  At BES Group, we want our people to know that they can be their true authentic selves at work, it really is that simple.  What’s more, we’re a Real Living Wage employer across our complete business and we are delighted to have pledged our committed to the military community by signing the Armed Forces Covenant.   Go for it!  Research suggests that some people tend to only apply for roles if they meet all requirements.
