Job Description

Our client, a recognized market leader in the provision of integrated fluid transfer, power and control solutions to the energy, OEM, marine, renewables and defense industries worldwide, have an exciting new opportunity for a Database&Reporting Engineer to join their team based in Aberdeen. Reporting to the Business Systems Manager, the main purpose of the role will be (not limited) to, analyse, design, develop, maintain, administer, and support databases and dependent reporting including data-management. Ensure SQL and Reporting standards compliance including change definition, review, and control of production deployment. Input to associated Change Boards. Document and apply source control across the SQL and Reporting estate addressing any gaps identified. Own and champion related Business Systems procedures and working mechanisms continuously improving compliance. Key Areas of Responsibility (Not limited to): * Business reporting in Excel and SSRS * Implement&support in Microsoft SQL server * Lifecycle management of SQL objects including queries, triggers and stored procedures * Working with the business to ensure all reporting and databases needs are met * Contribute towards month end processing, systems maintenance and related reporting Essential Qualifications: * Computing Science Degree Essential Experience Required (not limited to): * Experience of working within an environment that requires high level of compliance and procedural control * Implement and maintain data Warehouses, business reporting&intelligence solutions * Strong interpersonal skills * High level of experience delivering database and reporting solutions using MS SQL server technologies Desirable Experience: * Manufacturing, Distributions and Sales within IT * Delivery of Database solutions within an ERP environment * Coaching and or mentoring co-workers Essential Skills&Training Required (not limited to): * Advanced T-SQL procedures * Documentation&issue tracking * Server database development&administration * High level of Communication skills * SQL development, coding standard, including monitoring&ensuring of compliance * Experience with SQL Server 2019 - 2022 desirable * GIT source control desirable In return our client is offering a competitive salary, job security and personal
