As an Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons that are tailored to the individual needs of students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. This role requires a Teacher who is adaptable, empathetic, and dedicated to providing the best outcomes for each child in your care. Key Responsibilities: * Plan, deliver, and assess differentiated lessons as a Teacher, ensuring that each students individual needs are met. * Work closely with support staff to provide tailored interventions and one:to:one support to students. * As a Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment that supports students emotional, social, and academic development. * Regularly monitor and track students progress, providing feedback to help students achieve their potential and improve their outcomes. * Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues, working collaboratively as a Teacher to ensure a holistic approach to support. Essential Criteria: * Qualified Teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification. * Experience teaching students with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and SEMH needs. * Ability to create and adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring access to the curriculum. * Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and a multidisciplinary team. * A patient, empathetic approach to working with children with SEN, with a genuine passion for making a difference as a Teacher. Desirable: * Experience working in a setting or with students who have complex needs. * Knowledge of a range of SEN strategies, including communication tools, sensory activities, and behaviour management techniques. * Familiarity with using assistive technology to support students with SEN in their learning. * A commitment to ongoing professional development to enhance your skills as a Teacher. * Experience working with other professionals, such as SENCOs, therapists, and external agencies, to support the development of students.
