Company Description Genomics England partners with the NHS to provide whole genome sequencing diagnostics. We also equip researchers to find the causes of disease and develop new treatments – with patients and participants at the heart of it all. We are accelerating our impact and working with patients, doctors, scientists, government and industry to improve genomic testing, and help researchers access the health data and technology they need to make new medical discoveries and create more effective, targeted medicines for everybody. Job Description We are is seeking a dedicated Programme Lead to drive the strategy and delivery of our Diverse Data programme, joining us on a 12 Month fixed term contract.. This pivotal role involves shaping and overseeing the delivery ofinitiatives aimed at tackling underrepresentation within health data with a goal of ensuring equitable access to genomic medicine for all. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with our Chief Scientific Officer and internal leaders to advance our Diverse Data programme, aligning strategic direction with organizational objectives. Lead the coordination and implementation of initiatives outlined in the programme, ensuring alignment with our vision and values. Prioritize tasks effectively to maximize programme impact, while delivering on committed-to deliverables. Navigate complex stakeholder dynamics to foster collaboration and progress on ongoing projects. Cultivate relationships with external organizations to support the programme's objectives and broader ambitions. Facilitate project workshops, meetings, and steering groups, fostering an environment conducive to idea exchange and tangible outcomes. Represent the programme to senior stakeholders internally and externally, effectively communicating our vision and securing buy-in. Ensure compliance with governance requirements, including budget management, risk mitigation, and data/IT protocols. Build and lead high-performing, multidisciplinary teams, promoting inclusivity and aligning efforts with programme goals.Requirements for Success: Proven experience in delivering multidisciplinary programmes, preferably within governmental settings. Expertise in addressing health inequalities, population genomics, diversity indata or related fields. Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex information cohesively to diverse stakeholders Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables effectively, without compromising quality. Extremely strong stakeholder management and the ability to quickly buildstrong relationships.  Qualifications Post-graduate qualification in health data, population genetics or diversity/health equity would be beneficial Additional Information Salary from: £89,000 Being an integral part of such a meaningful mission is extremely rewarding in itself, but in orderto support our people, we’re continually improving our benefits package.
