Flight Coordinator
Job Summary:
We are currently looking to recruit Flight Coordinators to join our team based in West Drayton, Stockley Park. As a Flight Coordinator, you will be responsible for the delivery of Customer Service and Operational requirements for all customer airlines and ensuring the flights are catered to agreed specifications. Additionally, you will be responsible for the final catering handover, liaising with department supervisors to secure the correct quantities, the right quality and the required scheduled dock departures as well as supervising all airside personnel.

Overtime @ 1.25 times the hourly rate.
4 on 2 off pattern 04:00 - 12:00, 15:00 - 23:00.

Main Duties&Responsibilities
General Management:
* Establish and ensure that customer requirements and expectations are met.
* Attend aircraft where required and sign off flights.
* Continually evaluate and recommend improvements to working practices.
* To ensure accurate communications reach the desired audience, punctually, with active follow up to ensure compliance.
* To take responsibility, whilst on duty, for the daily operational requirements of the customers.
* To complete routine performance checks ensuring that departmental and customer targets are met.
* Act on behalf of Gate Gourmet, as a representative, at external customer meetings / presentations.
* Undertake and report findings on special projects as designated.
* To investigate customer reports or in conjunction with relevant departments and respond accordingly.
* To complete Flight / DFT checks in the unit.
Financial Management:
* Being aware of the financial implications the may affect the operation of the business. (e.g over catering, wastage, delays etc.).
Communication:
* Ensure Production are catering to latest specs.
* Participate in meetings with the customer as required.
* Attend Commercial meetings as required.
* Attend morning unit briefings on a daily basis.
* Attend ad hoc meetings as required.
Planning:
* Liaise with immediate manager to set plans for the short/ medium and long term.
* Set priorities to ensure deadlines are met. Forecast trends and developments which affect objectives. Undertake special ad hoc projects as required/ necessary.
* Familiarisation with planning and forecasting tools (i.e.‘OPRS’, SACS).
* Report departmental KPI’s to Section/ Shift Manager.
Problem Solving:
* Identify potential problems, analyse information and show quality judgment in decision making.
Qualifications:
Education:
* Educated to GCSE’s or higher and/or relevant equivalent work experience at similar level.
* Food and hygiene related education/training.
Work Experience:
* Previous Customer Service experience.
* Previous operational coordination experience.
* Good working knowledge of in-flight catering operations.
Other Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)
Excellent organisational skills with a strong attention to detail.
Must always demonstrate integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Ability to work efficiently using own initiative to resolve issues.
Ability to build relations and manage diverse teams.
Effective verbal and writtencommunication skills in English; able to communicate at all levels.
PC Literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales, prioritising as appropriate.
Proactive and positive/flexible attitude.
Valid Driving license
