Job Title: Application Engineer Location: Glasgow About the Role: On behalf of our client, a leading player in the electrical engineering sector, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Application Engineer to join their Glasgow:based team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong technical background and a passion for customer:focused solutions to play a key role in the delivery of bespoke engineering projects. Key Responsibilities: : Support the sales function by identifying customer needs and formulating technical proposals. : Deliver pre:sales technical assistance, addressing detailed queries regarding product capabilities. : Participate in client meetings to ensure proposed solutions meet both technical and commercial requirements. : Occasionally lead technical presentations and product demonstrations. : Assess technical application of both in:house and third:party products to determine optimal solutions. : Provide ongoing technical support post:sale, ensuring any issues are swiftly resolved. : Liaise with engineering, production, and customer service teams to ensure projects are delivered to specification. Candidate Requirements: : HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline, ideally electrical. : Minimum 3 years experience in a technical sales or applications engineering role; exposure to switchgear or power distribution products is advantageous. : Technically astute with the ability to understand and explain complex concepts clearly. : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels. : Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast:paced environment. : Team:oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving.
