Data Engineer -£65,000 - Central Belt (Hybrid) My client, a leading FinTech organisation are on the lookout for a new Data Engineer/Senior Data Engineer to join their existing and highly successful team. This role with see the candidate partner with industry leading clients and customers, aiding with the creation of data pipelines, the building of a complex database and cloud data warehouse, as well as assisting with ML Ops. This is the perfect role for an experienced professional looking to make a step up and develop their career further. This position will be a permanent, hybrid role, requiring officetravel to either Glasgow or Edinburgh twice per week to work at either company offices or client sites. Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of scalable data solutions using Azure technologies (Data Factory, Synapse Databricks, Azure DevOps). Develop and maintain robust data models and ETL pipelines. Ensure the reliability, efficiency, and quality of data processing and storage systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior data engineers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement. Be the primary data engineering contact for clients, assisting with architectural designs, solution development, and problem resolution. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in Azure and Databricks technologies. Ensure best practicesin data governance, security, and compliance are adhered to.
