We have a wealth of Good and Outstanding schools in Hammersmith and Fulham. The Early Years Team are looking for the ideal candidate who can demonstrate a range of skills essential for the role. These include: :To have a key role in improving the quality of provision in early years settings across the Borough, to enable improved outcomes for children at the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage : especially those with a special educational need and/or disability. :To use available data to effectively inform targeted support work in settings for children with SEND or emerging needs, so that resources and support are effectively directed. :Participate in the design, co:ordination and delivery of training courses with others that build capacity and skills in the Early Years workforce via a range of training opportunities on topics related to SEND. :To offer a 1:1 level of support to settings as part of an established graduated approach offered across the Borough, to ensure that setting staff understand and can implement their duties as they relate to meeting the needs of children with SEND. :To be a member of the Early Years panel, to ensure that financial resource is allocated fairly and in line with guidance :To undertake focused work in settings where data shows that children with SEND are not fulfilling their expected norms; to support settings to improve quality by developing the quality of their practice. :To work with Early Years settings to narrow the gap for vulnerable groups of children so that they can achieve a Good Level of Development at the end of the EYFS. :Ensure that accurate records of visits, communications, actions, and audits are maintained in a timely manner and produce reports as and when required for a variety of audiences. Provide up to date feedback to the Early Years Team Leader on visits undertaken, quality monitored, and improvement achieved in designated settings. :Ensuring EYs settings understand their responsibilities with regards to safeguarding children, their staff knowledge, understanding of sound safeguarding practice is current and being implemented.
