The school is trialling candidates immediately, with the final trial date set for Monday 21st July. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate EYFS Teaching Assistant who thrives in early years environments and has experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN). The successful candidate will play a key role in providing both academic and emotional support to pupils, including children with additional learning needs. The Role : EYFS Teaching Assistant: * Supporting the Reception class teacher with the daily running of the classroom * Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, including speech and language and behavioural needs * Assisting in planning and delivering play:based, developmentally appropriate activities * Monitoring pupil progress and helping to adapt activities to meet individual learning styles * Supporting personal care needs as required and promoting independence The Ideal EYFS Teaching Assistant Will Have: * Previous experience working as an EYFS Teaching Assistant or Nursery Assistant in a school or nursery setting * Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly in an early years environment * A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach * Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team * A genuine passion for early childhood education and inclusive learning This EYFS Teaching Assistant role is offered on a long:term basis with the view to becoming permanent.
