Frontline recruitment in is seeking dedicated individuals to fill the role of CAD Technician for one of our clients who is the one of UK’s leading specialist interior fit-out contractors. Day-to-Day Duties: * Generate manufacturing models and drawings based on architectural and design intent for approval and construction. * Ensure drawings and models comply with EES manufacturing and drawing standards. * Adhere to specific project standards, including naming conventions, numbering protocols, and standard details. * Implement drawing check sheets before and during the drawing process. * Include critical dimensions on all drawings. * Read and understand architectural specifications, ensuring EES drawings meet requirements. * Raise any deviations with the Lead CAD Technician. * Detail all ironmongery and equipment accurately. * Use Internal and Architectural models for up-to-date drawing information. * Attend project design meetings and liaise with the project team. * Output models in therequired format for inclusion in the project model. * Output models in the required format for CNC (Computer Numerical Control). * When modelling joinery, ensure cutting lists are populated with component lists, IDs, and panel sizes. * Produce an ID-tagged paper space. * Oversee surveysconducted by third parties, ensuring accuracy and adherence to instructions. * Check surveys to ensure they meet the instructions and store all survey-related documents on the server. * Keep accurate time records/sheets up to date. Interdepartmental Duties: * Factory Liaison - Communicatewith the factory regarding specific details and buildability. * Buying Department Interaction - Liaise with buying for advice on bought-in items, including specialist metalworks, glass, and fabrics. * Cross-Departmental Collaboration - Liaise with all departments as needed to fulfil contractual works. Subcontractor Coordination: * Coordinate with specialist subcontractors when required. * Ensure EES drawings are coordinated with subcontractors in case of direct interface. Financial Responsibilities: * Review cost sheets with the Lead CAD Technician before starting drawings.* Provide feedback on variation works for accurate cost recovery. Compliance: * Ensure drawings comply with the NBS specification and current project regulations (e.g., fire safety, BREEAM, DDA, CDM). * Work safely following Company Procedures, 14001 Environmental, 9001 Quality, and Statutory H&S Regulations. Pre-Con Process: Utilize HUB for all sample references and drawing trackers. Ideal Candidate: * Required portfolio of work * Proficient in 2D AutoCAD or 3D Modelling CAD packages. * Good understanding of the joinery industry and manufacturing processes. * Joinery experience is beneficial but not crucial.
