About the role Working within a team of six people, the Assistant Management Accountant will assist with the month-end process and delivering timely and accurate monthly management reportsand profit/cost centre information for the business to make sure our projects are delivered profitably. Principle Accountabilities: Help produce monthly performance reports and management accounts that are clear&insightful and lead improvements in operational and financia Help the business understand the reasons for variances and to work with the business to imncy. To participate with the preparation of Budgets, Medium Term Plans and Forecasts Assist the team in identifying opportunities and areas for attention, and recommending options for action - including areas of cost reduction, best practice governance and controls and excellent strategic prioritisation of expenses within UKPN Services. Produce, analyse, and report both daily and ad-hoc data to provide the insight needed for commercial decisions. Nature and Scope: This is a professional role which includes liaising throughout the business, with regular communication with central finance departments, senior management, non-finance managers and external contractors. You will also advise operational management on the important issues and impacts arising concerning the financial position of the business. Whilst you will work in Crawley, to engage with business activities, you will be expected, from time to time, to attend operational reviews at other UKPN Services locations and project sites. We expect that you will undertake this role with a high degree of autonomy, referring to your line manager for guidance or decisions.
