SEN Support TA and Trainee TA - North West London We are looking for a passionate individual who wants to begin working and training as a Children's SEND Teaching Assistant who will support our school in Uxbridge by helping children and young people with a variety of needs. Some of our students are non-verbal and with such a wide range of learning difficulties. Students are supported by a multidisciplinary team including Physiotherapists, Art Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists. Some students may also have physical disabilities and are wheelchair users. Being able to use Makaton (sign language) or PECs is ideal. Personal Care (feeding and toileting) and hydrotherapy are required as this is a part of the job. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates who want to move into a career in teaching. Autism Support Worker's Main Responsibilities:• Supporting children with Autism/ASC, complex needs, and Severe to Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties. • Assisting the class teacher with planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities, as well as monitoring and assessing children’s achievement and progress • Actively involvedin a wide range of activities, promoting the physical, cognitive, cultural, social, and emotional well-being of the pupils • Actively interacting with children through play-based and sensory-related activities About the role: * Gain a Teaching Assistant Qualification! * We workwith Mainstream Schools and SEND schools, the choice is yours! * Have access to over 200+ Modules (Phonics, SEND, Classroom practice etc, Supporting additional needs, Understanding Autism, Understanding attachment, Complex Needs) * Develop your understanding of Education and how to support children * Tailor your programme around your interests - Complex Needs, SEMH, Mainstream, Speech and Language, Autism etc. Develop key skills in these areas! * Develop academic knowledge whilst gaining valuable experience within our schools * Develop First-Hand experience in the classroom * Be paid between £80-£95 per day * Do you have friends or colleagues looking for work?
