As a teaching assistant, you will be working closely with students who require additional support, either one:on:one or in small groups. Willingness to do personal care is preferred. Your responsibilities as a teaching assistant may include: * Working with and supporting students with learning difficulties and complex needs, which may include students with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), or challenging behaviour. * Providing academic support, either one:on:one or in a small group. * Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom culture and providing emotional support when needed. * Implementing behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and safe learning environment. * Using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage focus and self:control. * Assisting with lesson planning and delivery. * Being aware of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well:being of students. To be a teaching assistant you will need: * The right to work in the UK. * A clear and up:to:date DBS. * Experience working as a teaching assistant. * A patient, kind attitude with a passion to support SEN students and a keen interest in child development.
