Lunchtime Supervisor Location: Lewisham Borough Part time - Term time only (7 - 12.5 hours per week) Pay:£13 - £13.90 per hour Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? TimePlan is currently working with several SEND schools in the borough of Lewisham. They cater for children aged 2 - 19 years old with an EHCP for ASD, SLD and PMLD. Each school provides outstanding education and support to students with diverse learning needs. Their mission is to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can flourish, thrive, and achieve their full potential. As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and happiness of the students during lunch breaks. Your primary responsibility will be to supervise and support students with SEND while they enjoy their lunchtime activities. You will work closely with our staff to maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere, fostering a sense of belonging and promoting social interaction among the students. Responsibilities: Provide constant supervision and support to students during lunch breaks. Assist students with ASD, SLD and PMLD in their mealtime routines, encouraging independence when appropriate. Organize and engage students in various lunchtime activities, games, and social interactions. Foster positive relationships among students, promoting inclusivity and a sense of community. Recognize and respond to the individual needs of students, ensuring their emotional well-being. Collaborate with the school staff to address any behavioural or emotional challenges effectively. Ensure the lunchtime environment is safe, clean, and conducive to a positive experience for all students.Requirements: Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school or similar setting. Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children with SEND. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Reliable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility.
