Job Description

As a Life Science Key Account Manager, you will play a critical role in expanding our presence in the life science industry. You will be responsible for managing key accounts, building relationships with key stakeholders, and driving sales growth. Your primary goal will be to understand customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction. This position requires a combination of technical knowledge, business acumen, and excellent communication skills. You will receive a portfolio of existing customers including many that are part of our Global Strategic and Enterprise accounts. There will also be new and development/target customers from End User to OEM's. Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategic account plans to meet sales targets and drive business growth predominantly in the life science sector. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within assigned key accounts. Understand customer requirements, challenges, and goals to provide tailored solutions that meet their needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to deliver comprehensive solutions and address customer needs effectively. Conduct regular business reviews and provide updates on account performance, sales forecasts, and market trends. Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and expand product portfolio. Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes affecting the life science sector. Represent the business at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events to promote brand awareness and generate leads. Provide product demonstrations, training, and technical support to customers as needed. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of sales activities, customer interactions, and market intelligence using the company's CRM system. You will be the specialist within your area and part of our Life Science community team collaborating with other country community leads with a common goal to execute Enterprise(Global) Initiatives Competencies&Key metrics: Sales Professional Develop relationships with customers at all levels including executive. Understand and use customer and regulated industry drivers for success in accounts. Understand competitors, their strategies, and counter-tactics. Ability to manage large opportunities by creating demand, creating proposals, and negotiating sales. Key Metrics Orders and Sales Revenue - to target and grow previous year Maintain a high level of customer face to visits each week Size and conversion of sales funnel Maintenance and compliance of CRM Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or scientific field, such as life sciences, biology, biotechnology, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is a plus. Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or a similar role within the life science industry. Demonstrated success in managing key accounts, driving sales growth, and exceeding targets. Strong understanding of life science processes, technologies, and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with equipment, instrumentation, and software solutions used in life science research, development, and production. Excellent sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Ability to build rapport, establish trust, and influence key decision-makers. Knowledge and experience with validation processes and regulatory standards, including 21CFR Part 11. Ability to guide customers in implementing solutions in a compliant manner. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong business acumen. Ability to work independently and take ownership of account management activities. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, leveraging internal resources to deliver customer-centric solutions. Familiarity with CRM systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite. Experience in using CRM systems to manage customer relationships, track sales activities, and generate reports. Willingness to travel as required to meet customer needs and attend industry events. Ability to travel domestically and internationally, conferences, trade shows, internal and customer meetings. Other requirements: Full UK driving license. A home environment that allows effective working from home. The role will require travel within the UK with possible overseas travel to meet with European Colleagues for Community/Sales meetings/Trade
