Quality Control Analyst– circa. £28,000 (DOE) + 31 Days holiday + Annual Bonus + Early Finish Fridays…. The Company: Our client is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers in the nutritional industry and have an annual turnover of circa £80m. The company employs over 350 people on site and has an excellent track record of growth and ambitious plans for future expansion. The business has been operating for over 200 years and has built a strong reputation as a market leader with several premium brands in their portfolio and a large, diverse client base operating throughout Europe. We currently have a role fora Quality Control Analyst based in Runcorn. Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, the Quality Control Analyst will be responsible for the analysis of raw materials and finished products in accordance with approved test methods and procedures and for ensuring good laboratory practices are maintained throughout all processes and procedures. The Quality Control Analyst will be responsible for the control and monitoring of raw materials and finished products effectively and in adherence to the Production Schedule. Principally, the Quality Control Analyst will help ensure the company’s products are to the required quality and to help ensure products are tested in accordance with the specification agreed with the customer. Key tasks include: * Analysis of Raw Materials and Finished Products. * To calibrate or test equipment within the calibration scheme. * The proper maintenance all appropriate records relating to both work and equipment operation. * To keep the Laboratory to a high standard of cleanliness. * To assist with the creation of internal specifications and test methods. * To assist in the training of other members of the department. Additional Tasks: * To communicate instantly any problems/queries to the Quality Control Team Leader. * To work in a team to ensure: all general laboratory tasks and shared equally and your activities don’t impinge adversely on your colleague’s activities. * Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of yourworkstation and to ensure a standard of good housekeeping in all areas of the Company. * To document and file test results according to the Quality Control Team Leader’s instructions. * To report non-conformances/OOS/deviations to the Quality Control Team Leader. What We Are Looking For: The Quality Control Analyst will ideally have experience in a similar role and be a forward-thinking individual with attention to detail. Ideally you will be/have: * Experience within Quality Control/Quality Assurance function. * A degree in Chemistry or equivalent. * Excellent communication skills. * Good IT skills. Working hours: Monday to Thursday (8am-5pm) Friday (8am-1pm) Salary and Benefits details: * Salary – circa. £26,000 – £28,000 (DOE). * Discretionary Bonus *Company Pension (5% employer, 4% minimum employee). * 23 days holiday, plus bank holidays (increasing with service). * Life Assurance. * Free
