Your Role: As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment. Working collaboratively with teachers and other professionals, your key responsibilities will include: * Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to students, helping them to access the curriculum and engage in all aspects of school life. * Assisting in the planning and adaptation of learning materials to meet individual student needs. * Implementing and contributing to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). * Fostering the development of students self:esteem, independence, and social skills. * Employing positive behaviour management strategies to support a calm and productive classroom atmosphere. * Liaising with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support. About You: We are looking for individuals with: * A genuine desire to work with young people with special educational needs. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents. * Patience, understanding, and a calm and encouraging demeanour. * The ability to be proactive, flexible, and work effectively as part of a team. * A minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent). Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, are highly desirable. * Previous experience working with children or young people with special needs is advantageous but not essential for those with the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
