The role involves both in:school support and travel to an off:site provision where the pupil participates in animal:based learning and activities, so a driving licence and access to a car is essential. Key Responsibilities for the SEN Teaching Assistant: * Work one:to:one as an SEN Teaching Assistant supporting a 14/15:year:old pupil with ASD and anxiety. * Provide structured and consistent support to help the pupil engage with learning. * Accompany the pupil to an off:site provision where they will take part in animal:based activities. * Support emotional regulation, engagement, and communication strategies. * Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals. * Help create a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment. Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant: * Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with ASD and anxiety. * A driving licence and access to a car (essential for travel to off:site provision). * A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting SEN pupils. * The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils. * Commitment to a full:time, long:term role with the potential to become permanent.
