My client, an independent, innovative multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Senior Civil and Structural Engineer to join their experienced team of drainage and highways engineers, based near the lively city of Swansea, located on the beautiful Gower Peninsula. Essential Criteria: * Chartered Engineer or Near Chartered Status (MICE or similar recognised body) * Extensive experience of commercial/industrial experience within engineering consultancy * Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with a minimum of an Upper Second Class (2.1) Honours * Commercial awareness when dealing with a range of clients across the sector * Experience of managing a variety of complex projects * Good working knowledge of structural analysis and design involving steel, concrete masonry, and timber * Excellent knowledge of the relevant design standards (e.g. British Standards and Eurocodes, etc.) * Experience of commercial building design * Demonstrable experience of SuDS Design and the SAB application process * Knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (e.g. S104, S185, S38, S278, etc.) * Excellent knowledge of computer aided design software (e.g. STAADPro, AutoCAD, etc.) * Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Adobe Acrobat * Full, valid UK Driving Licence It would also benefit applicants for the role of Senior Civil and Structural Engineer to possess the following skills: * Experience of highways design specialisms, including drainage, street lighting, traffic signals, etc. * Knowledge and experience of SketchUp * Familiarity with the local region * Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team * Excellent time management * Prepared to travel nationally, with the possibility of staying away for short periods In the varied role of Senior Civil and Structural Engineer, you will join a dedicated team of experts in the field, with a view to developing your career and working to attain a professional qualification.
