What You Will Do: * Managing a team of over 20 engineers who are mechanically and electrically trained * Ensure adherence to Safety and Environmental Standards, leading by example and enforcing legislation compliance. * Manage the engineering function, including the full utilisation of the CMMS system and conducting regular machinery and equipment troubleshooting and repairs. * Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all maintenance activities, ensuring maintenance efficiency and innovation in production equipment operation. * Control and manage the Spare Parts warehouse, contributing to maintenance efficiency. * Guide and manage departmental employees in procedures and processes, including new equipment installations and compliance with building, facilities, and maintenance. * Take responsibility for Cost Control, including waste, labour, engineering, and consumable costs. What You Will Bring: * Technical Qualification Electrical or mechanical HNC or above or formally time served apprenticeship * Proven background in manufacturing, production machinery, automation and electrical mechanical maintenance * Proven leadership skills in an engineering environment, with a keen focus on safety and environmental standards. * Experience in managing an engineering function, including maintenance activities and CMMS systems. * Strong problem:solving abilities and a proactive approach to performance to increase OEE * A commitment to innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering department.
