Global Category Lead : Enterprise Technology Sourcing Dynamic and proactive, Global Procurement delivers tangible commercial value for HSBC. A varied remit spans all aspects of the procurement lifecycle worldwide : from leading relationships with suppliers, to ensuring alignment across spending plans. Highly engaged with the business, Procurement specialists develop deep strategic understanding. This leads to stronger approaches to measuring success, and ultimately ensures the Group operates ever more effectively. In this fantastic, key, strategic role, you will be accountable for strategy and planning for the Enterprise Technology and the International Wealth and Personal Banking (IWPB) categories, to deliver competitive advantage for HSBC. This represents approximately 1.5B in yearly spend. Delivering value for HSBC is achieved through product / service lifecycle value generation, demand management (in collaboration with the Cost and Contracts Management organization) and innovative commercial and service constructs. You will bring together best in class people, processes and tools to produce optimal commercial outcomes at local, regional and global levels. You will maintain in depth external market knowledge and commercial best practice, applying these within your category, supporting the Head of Technology Sourcing to embed best in class practices and innovation in service offerings. You will also be responsible for managing key strategic supplier relationships with the appointed HSBC Accountable Executive based on the provided frameworks. You will have the expectation of delivery through a virtual team of SMEs in Category Management, Cost and Contracts Management, Technology stakeholders, legal and local sourcing teams. In this role you will: : Work closely with the Head of Technology Sourcing, other Category Leads and Head of Cost and Contracts Management to deliver against the identified portfolio of initiatives whilst ensuring that the right levels of skills and experience exist within the Category teams over time : Ensure that value generation is maximised across all the SOURCE TO CONTRACT activities in geographies, business units, and functions : Ensure a robust governance process is embedded within SOURCE TO CONTRACT practices which is appropriate for the needs of HSBC as a whole : Manage and motivate the Category teams, whilst also ensuring continuous development and learning opportunities exist for the team : Support Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) and Sourcing Network teams in the execution of Category plans and the achievement of savings, along with other types of commercial and non:commercial benefits : Utilise advanced skills in analysis/synthesis in the application of a range of commercial models, with a focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and value creation : Manage our key strategic supplier relationships with the appointed HSBC Accountable Executive, including building the overall relationship with the suppliers' key stakeholders, conducting strategic reviews, managing performance reviews, and developing joint account plans, based on SRM frameworks provided by the SPSSRM Lead : Monitor buying channel compliance, for the business/function with whom they own the Procurement relationship and drives corrective action as necessary, both individually and via the Categories resource pool To be successful in this role you should have the following skills: Technical: : Complex transactional execution : Global Category Management : Team Management : Source to Contract best practice : Post contractual activity Behavioural Skills: : Negotiation : Relationship management : Strong communication : Team management : Strategic Cognitive Skills: : Analytical : Inquisitive : Problem solver : Inspirational This role can be based in Londo
