Our Client has a requirement for an Area Sales Engineer to manage a territory including the West Midlands and Mid Wales, Coventry, Birmingham, Telford, Stoke on Trent, Dudley, Worcester, Hereford, Gloucester, Oxford, Shropshire, residing central to the territory would be ideal. The Company are seeking a Field based Sales Engineer to continue the growth of business from existing and new customers. You will be building upon existing accounts alongside all new business development, selling the Companys full portfolio of Automation products to the Control and Automation sector, via technical distributor channel partners, wholesale resellers and also Panel Builders, Systems Integrators, OEMs and End Users across all industry, with key sectors of Building, Infrastructure, Machinery, Energy, Process, Packaging, Transportation. Suitable candidates are likely to be individuals with a solid technical platform (probably ONC, HNC or Degree level Electronic/Electrical Engineering but an ability to illustrate good relevant experience and knowledge would suffice) and typically with an engineering background having extensive experience of the industrial automation and control marketplace (Power, Process, Packaging, and Transportation). The ability to work with, through and motivate distributors and resellers is of high importance as is experience and understanding of a wide range of electrical components and applications. You are most likely to already be working within the Electrical control and automation sector with at least 5 years relevant experience as an Area Sales Engineer, Field Sales, Area Sales Manager or Business Development Manager, with a strong and successful technical sales background selling products and/or solutions. This will suit a driven, self motivated and well organised individual, with the capability to present and form relationships at all levels.
