Project Overview: Bechtel has been selected to enter into an exclusive Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phase on a number of landmark Australian Energy projects to provide a detailed and robust design to support a comprehensive project estimate and schedule. Following the submission of the ECI, the intent will be to move into an EPC phase of the projects whereby Bechtel will complete the detailed design and execute the construction of the projects. Job Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for the major material procurement for a major wind farm project in Australia. As part of this role you will lead negotiations, solve problems, and communicate with suppliers to ensure compliance with purchase order requirements and achieve the required service to meet project needs. This role may require limited travel on the east coast of Australia. Major Responsibilities: : Prepare, maintain, and monitor project bidder'slists, ensuring input is received from all procurementfunctions and other operational groups : Develops procurement strategy documents in conjunction with other project stakeholders : Communicate with Engineering to assist and/orguide them in the preparation of material requisitions : Directs negotiations in the commitment of purchases,following review and approval of the proposednegotiating plan : Forms, issues, and administers purchase orders : Communicates with suppliers to achieve requiredservice and meets project needs : Prepares and organises assigned Procurementsponsored meetings : Contributes to the development and delivery oftraining to other purchasing personnel regarding allaspects of formation and administration ofpurchasing forms, procedures, and buying goods : Collaborates with project Procurement team wheninstructed in solving and attending to administrativeproblems on commitments involving high monetaryexpenditure or risk, engineered technicalspecifications or supplemental commercial conditions Education and Experience Requirements: : Requires bachelors degree (or international equivalent) and 10:13years of relevant experience or 14:17 years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge and Skills: : Experience with major civil and electrical material procurements : Ability to negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and contract terms with suppliers to get the best value for the company while maintaining strong relationships. : Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast:paced environment, ensuring procurement activities do not delay overall project progress, while working without supervision. : Knowledge of wind farm project execution is preferred Total Rewards/Benefits: For decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of employees and b
