We are seeking two experienced risk management professionals to join our team as anProcess and Controls Leads on a 12:month Fixed Term Contract. You'll play a central role in uplifting Optus' approach to handling critical risks across customer conduct, complaints, credit decisioning, and vulnerability. You'll work directly with risk and business leads to co:design fit:for:purpose controls, define key risk indicators (KRIs), and build reporting frameworks that bring risk clarity and confidence to the business. Here's what you'll do: typedisc: : Partner with the business to assess and enhance existing risk control environments : Co:design sustainable, auditable controls aligned to compliance obligations and customer risk : Build and implement key risk indicators and insightful risk reporting dashboards : Guide the development of preventative and detective control strategies : Coach stakeholders across Lines 1 and 2 to uplift risk maturity and control frameworks : Ensure consistent alignment with enterprise risk and regulatory standards What you'll bring: typedisc: : A trusted advisor with strong commercial acumen and rigour in risk management practices : A deep understanding of what good looks like in control design and assurance : Comfortable navigating sophisticated, matrixed stakeholder environments and leading change with confidence : Extensive experience in risk, controls, or assurance within highly regulated sectors : Hands:on expertise in control design, KRI frameworks, and operational risk reporting : Solid experience responding to enforcement programs, risk frameworks, and compliance standards : A strong grasp of how Line 1 and Line 2 operate within enterprise risk environments : Experience in banking, finance, or telecommunications is a plus : Outstanding communication and collaboration skills-because influence matters.
